THE BIN - BREWERY, TAPROOM, BEER GARDEN.

“The Bin” is what we call our custom built, award-winning, pre-fab grain bin that serves as both our brewery and taproom. This flex-use highly efficient building along with our all-organic beers, native prairie beer garden and rain gardens, evidence our focus on sustainability and environmental responsibility. Cool in the summer, cozy in the winter, we celebrate each of Minnesota’s four seasons. With beer, of course.

CHEF RESIDENCY

A SUSTAINABLE SPACE

2015 Saint Paul Award for Green Product Winner

Bang Brewing is located in the Raymond Creative Enterprise Zone. The brewing center is a uniquely purpose built facility with an emphasis on green design and environmental stewardship. The entirety of the highly efficient operation is housed in a 1,300 square foot partial pre-fab grain bin designed in concert with STP’s Alchemy Architects. The US built brew system was custom designed to minimize water use. Its electricity is provided through Windsource®. Bang Brewing partners with a local farmer in a spent grain program and champions composting, reuse and recycling. The majority of the 1/6 acre lot where Bang Brewing is located consists of permeable surfaces to mitigate stormwater runoff, in addition to being landscaped with barley and prairie. The Bang Brewing taproom also provides an opportunity to discuss and educate customers in organic farming, local sourcing and environmental awareness.

A PERFECT PATIO

A 2017 Pioneer Press “Best Patio”

Small, 100 percent organic brewery in a grain silo can fit plenty more patrons on warm weather days. A recent expansion of the existing brick patio now includes a steel-covered pavilion area providing some shade and additional picnic-bench seating. A fire pit with chairs is another new seating option. While there, enjoy the rain gardens, natural prairie and wildflowers. If your timing is right, you might catch chef Hai Truong of Ngon Bistro’s food cart, featuring hot dogs made with pork from Red Table Meat Co., or fare from Peeps Hotbox, the two food residencies at Bang for this season.
